Washington Technology: VA makes final award for future CCN care network

“The Veterans Affairs Department has made the sixth and final award through an eight-year, multibillion dollar effort to stand up a new care service provider network in the U.S. and its territories.”

“TriWest Healthcare Alliance Corp. will proceed on the Community Care Network’s Pacific Islands portion, also known as Region 6, under a contract modification the VA announced in a Beta.Sam.Gov posting Wednesday.”

“The VA intends to issue that modification on a sole-source basis to Triwest through the CCN Region 4 contract that company already holds to work in the 12 Mountain and Pacific time zone states along with Hawaii. Triwest also is the company working in Alaska, or Region 5.”

“Like other CCN regions, work in Region 6 will take place under an initial base year and up to seven option years. No dollar figure was disclosed in the Region 6 posting…” Read the full article here.
