VA/Fed Health Interoperability Partner BookZurman recruits new Chief Innovation Officer

Ioana Singureanu “has joined BookZurman as Chief Innovation Officer after working closely with us as a trusted advisor and subject-matter expert for more than a decade.”

“As Chief Innovation Officer, Ioana will apply more than 25 years of deep healthcare information technology (HIT) standards expertise and thought leadership to solving complex business problems for public and private sector clients: empowering providers to embrace industry standards for patient safety. With a consistent connection to the full lifecycle of interoperability and standards, Ioana will apply insights from engagement with the evolving standards community to client concerns and goals.”

“In the federal space, Ioana has supported the Office for the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC), the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Substance Abuse and Mental Health Service Agency (SAMHSA), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and the Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH). Most recently, she worked with SAMHSA to develop an HL7® FHIR®-based application framework for care coordination and behavior health. As early adopters of this emerging standard, BookZurman created CareNexus®, a modular care-coordination and management platform that incorporates the framework’s open-source code…”
