The contractor shall provide 24x7x365 support for all applications that are part of the VA’s Microsoft 365 tenant. The contractor shall provide end-to-end support for Microsoft 365 environments, and Active Directory using the VA Directive 6004 and VA Handbook 6500. This support includes, but not limited to SD supported Microsoft Exchange, Mobile email, Teams, Azure RMS, SharePoint and other MS applications that are included in the VA’s current and future Microsoft 365 tenet.
The incumbent serves as a consultant for the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA), IT Operations and Services (ITOPS), Office of Information and Technology (OIT), Solution Delivery (SD), Endpoint Engineering (EE), Enterprise Endpoint Management and Reporting (EEMR) division. Solution Delivery provides central engineering services and management of a technical framework promoting a cohesive, centralized technology vision across VA, which supports system optimization, integration and interoperability throughout the enterprise. Systems engineering is an interdisciplinary approach and means to enable the realization of successful systems, proceeding from concept to production to operation. SD incorporates the overall functions of the systems engineering discipline and works collaboratively with other parts of the VA organization to accomplish an overall goal of applying the systems engineering approach toward the realization of successful system solutions in the VA information technology environment. The Contractor shall work with the division director and other EEMR team members on the evaluation, analysis, planning, coordination, design, implementation, and Tier 3 support of VA’s national endpoint management and reporting infrastructure, with a specific focus on Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Microsoft Intune, and Microsoft Azure technologies.
