RTI seeking Strategic Account Executive – DHHS

“RTI is currently recruiting for a Strategic Account Executive to support our current and future work across one of our current DHHS accounts.”   

Develop and lead client account management and RTI’s business expansion strategy by managing client relationships and accounts. The Strategic Account Executive will exhibit a strong understanding of the account’s strategic priorities and goals, structure, various funding mechanisms, key organizational contacts, pain points.  This role will use this deep knowledge to understand where our scientific, research, and policy capabilities can add value, thus driving and diversifying RTI’s revenue and deepening our impact on improving the human condition.” 

Essential Duties to include, but not be limited to:

  • Develop and deepen knowledge and engagement to help drive long-term client value through the delivery of RTI’s services, products, and expertise 
  • Generate, shape, identify, and qualify new opportunities that align to the growth strategy 
  • Operate as the primary point of contact for assigned account(s) 
  • Improve client retention by driving accountability for improving the overall customer experience 
  • Meet regularly with current and prospective clients to build trusted relationships and gain a better understanding of their needs, challenges, and overall environment  
  • Understand the competitor landscape to gather business intelligence. Lead intelligence gathering to develop a robust business development pipeline 
  • Collaborate internally to ensure efficient cross-selling, visibility on key projects, and proper allocation of resources 
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with research staff, understanding how key technical capabilities align with client needs 
  • Partner with project delivery teams to gain additional client knowledge and to ensure client satisfaction.” 

Required Education/Experience 

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 20 years of experience, Master’s degree and 16 years of experience or PhD and 12 years of experience 
  • 10+ years’ experience working directly with and/or supporting Federal government agencies 
  • 5+ years’ experience in support of specific DHHS initiatives 
  • 8+ years’ demonstratable experience in a client-centric/client facing role.”
