“The information contained in the Terminology IDIQ PWS applies to the performance of this effort. This is a new Task Order for the Clinical and Data Management Office (CIDMO) Field Informatics Stewardship (FIS) Program Office.”
“CIDMO FIS requires professional and technical services to support Initial Operating Capacity (IOC) efforts in special projects with multiple VA Legacy Systems environments. This will require program/project management and experienced clinical informaticist subject matter expertise to support Health Practice Pattern (HPP) project development and perform functionality tests of VA products and software such as CPRS version releases as well as configuration work to support Clinical Process Modules.”
“The contractor shall deploy any/all production system innovations for IOC and monitor and assess performance metrics as specified by the government. The contractor shall also integrate all project Schedules into one Integrated Master Schedule, using www.PMI.org principles. The PMO health informatics project process of initiation, testing and deployment cycle process uses fast deployment techniques and must be performed with a government program manager…”
“In doing this health informatics work, the contractor shall:
- Verify that an approved FIS project is valid/achievable
- Once VA government approval is given, accomplish functionality tests for IOC
- Push the changes to a test system.
- Perform software functionality QA
- Prepare formal announcements of any/all deployed software
- Assist in the Deployment of the software to the enterprise
- Verify VistA to insure the changes are intact and stable.
- Query VHA field/stakeholders for feedback and process any feedback.
- Updates are presently on spreadsheets and manually transferred as an e-mail file attachments
- VHA may later, during the contract period, update the tooling for updates to supplement or replace these manual spreadsheets
- Support QA as it is performed by the FIS team.
- Perform final review of content file following the FIS team’s activities before final deployment…”
