DHA to award Warrior Care Program Management Support contract extension to Booz Allen Hamilton

Solicitation: HT001119C0005-P00005

Contract:  HT0011-19-C-0005

Approval is being requested for a six (6)-month bridge contract extension modification to support the existing level of effort of this Program Management Support contract, HT0011-19-C-0005, being performed by Booz Allen Hamilton, Inc. This contract action will facilitate the continuation of work to prevent a gap in the needed services. Additionally, this extension will provide the requiring agency time to complete the requirements development and acquisition process for the award of two other Warrior Care contracts that will encompass the requirements of this contract, eliminating the need for a separate PMS contract.

The period of performance for this bridge contract option modification will be for six (6) months – consisting of two (2) three 3-month periods – beginning on 17 January 2020 thru 16 April 2020, followed by the second three (3)-month period from 17 April 2020 thru 16 July 2021.

Although there are other sources available that can meet the Government’s requirements, none would have the infrastructure or expertise available to provide the administrative and operationa support without significant delays, lead-time, incurred costs, duplication of efforts and substantial investments of time and resources by the Government.
