DHA to award contract for Force Health Protection and Readiness Programs Operational Support to Knowesis in advance of follow-on

Solicitation: HT0011-19-F-0013

Contract: HT0011-19-F-0013

Request approval under an individual justification for award of a Firm Fixed Price sole source Bridge Contract to Knowesis, Inc., for services required by the DHA Assistant Director, Combat Support, and supporting the Director, DHA; Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense (DASD), for Health Readiness Programs and Oversight (HRP&O); Principle Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs (PDASD(HA)); Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs; and subordinate Program Directorates. This action continues services competitively awarded under contract GS-10F-0165W, order HT0011-13-F-0016, which ends January 6th, 2019, with no new work or change of scope. The action being approved is for a 6-month base period of performance and additional extensions of up to 6 months under the clause at FAR 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services, modified to add one 3-month option and three 1-month options for a total of up to 18 months of performance.

This bridge task order was competitively awarded under General Services Administration contract, GS-10F-0165W, and expires on 6 July 2020. The bridge contract extension modification will prevent a gap in necessary services as well as provide the Agency with sufficient time to complete evaluation of offers and award a new follow-on contract resulting from competition. The period of performance of this contract extension modification will be four (4) months consisting of a four (4)-month option period, which includes a transition-out period. It is anticipated that the follow-on contract will be awarded in October 2020.
