CMS to award $216M Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) Jurisdiction C contract

Solicitation: 75FCMC20C0025

Contract: 75FCMC20C0025

This award is the result of a competitive procurement.  The contract type is not fixed price because of the ongoing changes in the Medicare program requirements directed by mandatory legislation and because resulting performance uncertainties in many functional areas are such that reasonable estimates of their cost impact cannot be made.

The award is for a Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) for Jurisdiction C (JC). The purpose of this contract is to provide specified health insurance benefit administration services, including Medicare claims processing and payment services, in support of the traditional Medicare program.  The Contractor shall perform numerous functions on behalf of Medicare beneficiaries and shall establish relationships with providers of DME, Prosthetics, Orthotics and Supplies (DMEPOS), for a defined geographic jurisdiction.  The jurisdiction is JC which includes Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The contract has been awarded to CGS ADMINISTRATORS, LLC. with a Total Contract Value of $215,684,562.00 and a contract duration of 7 years.
