“This role is responsible for supporting SAS’ Federal Health team, with direct responsibility for the Center for Disease Control (CDC), the National Institute of Health (NIH), and the Assistant Secretary of Preparedness & Response (ASPR). The role will be focused on maintaining, strengthening and growing SAS’ relationship with these three agencies.”
Responsibilities:
- Understands the strategic goals, priorities, and budgetary constraints of assigned accounts and how they align to SAS/business analytics solutions.
- Develops partner and advisory relationships with accounts by aiding them in solving mission challenges.
- Leverages agency understanding to map and sell SAS software, solutions, and services to current and prospective customers.
- Collaborates with other sales personnel to position and capitalize on opportunities to acquire, grow and retain customers within assigned territory.
- Conducts significant direct customer outreach and travels to customer sites.
- Designs appropriate demonstrations by actively participating in sales calls and presentations focused on identifying customer goals and evaluating account needs.
- Prepares and delivers presentations to customers at the highest level of management.
- Assumes consultative role in dealing with technical issues and interpreting applications needs; prepares customer profiles based on needs analysis of hardware, software, applications, and user levels.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Analytics, Computer Science, Public Health, or other relevant discipline. Postgraduate degree preferred.
- Minimum of five years of experience in related government or IT work.
- At least two years experience selling enterprise software/consulting services into the Federal space, preferably within HHS/MHS/VA.
- Healthcare knowledge and experience (e.g., epidemiologist or government employee), preferably CDC, NIH, and/or ASPR.
- Ability to be badged at CDC, NIH, and/or ASPR.
