This non-competitive action is being issued by the Acquisition Services Directorate under the authority of the Department of the Interior Franchise Fund on the behalf of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), The National Cancer Institute (NCI).”
“NCI Center for Biomedical Informatics and Information Technology (CBIIT) aims to continue to provide NCI Community Hub as a resource for the NCI and affiliated institutions to foster collaboration and open access to data, tools and standards. The NCI Community Hub is a collaboration tool based on the HUBzero Platform for Scientific Collaboration, an open source cyber infrastructure developed by the HUBzero team, which has relocated the University California San Diego (UCSD). The NCI Community Hub has become a popular resource for sharing information about cancer research programs among program participants and cancer research community in general.”
“Support provided shall include but not be limited to the following:
- Contract, project, task, and activity management;
- Maintenance and hosting of the NCIP Hub HUBZero Platform;
- Section 508 compliancy testing;
- HIPAA and FISMA low compliance certification;
- Technical, operational, and user support services and documentation.”
“These services shall include providing project and technical management, consulting, and technical support to CBIIT. These services require interaction with the government program staff, senior business and IT managers, program stakeholders, and other contractors. This action is being processed in accordance with FAR 13.5. The University of California San Diego provides this type of service to facilitate collaboration between institutions. No other organization is known to provide this type of services with existing engagement.”
