The Contractor shall perform VA PIV Program life cycle sustainment support, specifically for operation and maintenance activities and integration of new capabilities.
Beginning August 30th, 2013, the VA moved its Card Management System (CMS) from a vendor hosted environment to a VA Datacenter allowing the VA to handle day to day operations for this PIV sub-system which is hosted with the VA PIV System.
VA had established over 210 PIV Issuance Centers nationwide including offices located in Alaska, Hawaii, and Manila Philippines. VA PIV Systems issues on average 7000 cards per week.
The Contractor shall provide support to the Enterprise Performance Metrics (EPM), Solution Delivery (SD), IT Operations and Services (ITOPS) OI&T within VA in support of the PIV program and operations in the areas of:
- Project Management
- Systems Operations and Maintenance
- Systems Integration and Engineering
- Systems Implementation
- Systems Engineering Analysis
The scope of this effort does not include the software development for PIV system’s new features and capabilities.
