Update: VA RFI: VACO Physical Access Control Systems (PACS) Maintenance

The purpose of this notice is to re-open sources sought posted under 36C10B20R0065 due to lack of responses. Responses are now due close of business on December 19, 2019.

The objective of this Statement of Work (SOW) will be the maintenance of PACS equipment within all VACO occupied buildings in the DC area. There are a total of 18 buildings utilized by VACO that house the VA staff and equipment that will be covered under this contract. For a period of twelve months upon award of contract, the selected contractor shall perform maintenance and adjustments, and all other preventive maintenance specified or recommended by the equipment manufacturers for all equipment in the access control system whether originally installed by contractor or not.

The objective of this Statement of Work (SOW) will be the maintenance of PACS equipment within all VACO occupied buildings in the DC area. There are a total of 18 buildings utilized by VACO that house the VA staff and equipment that will be covered under this contract. For a period of twelve months upon award of contract, the selected contractor shall perform maintenance and adjustments, and all other preventive maintenance specified or recommended by the equipment manufacturers for all equipment in the access control system whether originally installed by contractor or not.

Services shall consist of providing all labor and material to troubleshoot and repair readers and all related security equipment and providing maintenance service for this equipment at the various VACO locations.

The physical installation and maintenance services to be perform fall within the standard Information Technology (IT) installation guidelines used to install cabling, network hubs, data jacks, and other IT devices. The specific devices to be installed and maintained under this contract will include:

  • Wall Card Readers
  • Cameras
  • Network Hub
  • Cabling
  • Termination of cabling
  • Removal of Devices as needed

Maintenance shall include systematic inspection, detection, adjustments, and correction of incipient failures either before they occur or before they develop into major defects. All replacement parts, materials, environmental compliance and Contractor personnel transportation used for preventive maintenance services shall be included in the contract unit price for preventive maintenance service…
