ProSphere received the 2019 Large Veteran Owned Business of the Year Award from the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce Nov. 6. The award was presented during the Chamber’s 2019 Salute to Veterans event held at Belle Haven Country Club, Alexandria, Virginia.
“It has always been my firm belief that a career in the United States Armed Forces is one of the most honorable of professions,” said U.S. Senator Mark R. Warner in an announcement letter to ProSphere. “We are all indebted to you (ProSphere’s ownership) for your efforts.”
According to the letter, this recognition serves as a tribute to the company’s exemplary leadership and contributions to the Alexandria community. Specifically, it signifies the ownership’s commitment to using the unique skills developed while serving in the military to establish ProSphere and make a meaningful impact in the region, public sector, and lives of service members.
“As a Retired Army Major General, I am proud to be part of an organization that demonstrates corporate responsibility,” said Michael Sumrall, Chief Operating Officer. “This award reflects on the obligation businesses have, not only to our Veterans, but also to our local and regional communities.”
