NIH NIAID Renewal: SUMO LOGIC Service/Logs, Metrics & Support Service

This is a renewal request for Sumo Logic software, which provides centralized alerting and metrics collection for services and products hosted on the platform (Monarch). NIAID uses Sumo Logic for logging, metrics collection, and alerting for Monarch and all products and services developed and running on this custom platform. Per NIH policy, systems must be monitored, and various system logs must be kept and audited per a regular cadence.

The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases’ (NIAID) Operations and Engineering Branch (OEB) of the Office of Cyber Infrastructure and Computational Biology (OCICB) manages and develops the technology infrastructure that supports Intramural research, Extramural investments and Administrative management. OEB services 4000+ end users in more than 20 locations throughout the United States. Infrastructure services provided by OEB are maintained and used 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Services include data storage and protection, applications hosting, server management, workstation development, high performance computing, networking and security database management, platform administration, audio/visual management. Software provides network clustering file system. OCICB Chief and the Contracting Officer have determined that only one brand-name source and no other brands or services will satisfy agency requirements.
