The experts recruited and selected through this contract vehicle will be responsible for advances in the areas of protecting the homeland including:
- Coordinating research and development of medical countermeasures to address emerging public health threats
- Providing timely procurement of acquisition-ready medical countermeasures
- Contributing and ensuring the ready availability of stockpiled medical countermeasures
- Contributing to the development of validated healthcare system approaches to terrorist events
- Increasing the understanding of basic biomedical and behavioral science
- Developing strategies to prevent, diagnose, and treat disease and
- Building a knowledge base about terrorist agents and consequences of delayed medical countermeasures…
