This contract is for implementation and connectivity maintenance of a medical data management system that will provide for Point-of-Care (POC) connectivity to Veterans Health Administration (VHA) electronic medical records by transmitting patient test results via middleware utilizing a bi-directional HL7 interface to the Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA) and the Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS) for all medical facilities within Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 12.

Phase II – Connectivity Maintenance (CLINs 0008-4007): POC connectivity will be maintained and available 24/7/365 through regular and emergency repair, software upgrades when commercially available, and additional training as applicable. If a manual test/result entry capability exists, pricing shall indicate the additional cost (if any) for this capability, per Item Number.
The Contractor shall provide regular, scheduled maintenance to ensure the continued reliability of the POC middleware.
The Contractor shall provide upgrades to the POC middleware as they become commercially available, no later than otherwise provided to commercial customers, at no additional cost to the Government.
The Contractor may be approved for direct, remote access to assist in the server-build, test-build, or upgrades at the sole discretion of VA Information Technology personnel, in accordance with VHA security requirements…
