COLUMBUS, Ohio (September 3, 2019) – Pearl Interactive Network, a Woman-Owned small business specializing in government contact center services, healthcare enrollment and TeleHealth remote monitoring and supportive care, is pleased to announce their certification as a HUBZone business by the United States Small Business Administration (SBA).
As a HUBZone-certified business, Pearl Interactive Network is eligible to compete for the program’s set-aside contracts and receive a 10 percent price evaluation preference in full and open contract competitions. The SBA offers HUBZone certification to businesses operating in historically underutilized business zones, with a goal of awarding at least 3 percent of all federal contracting dollars to HUBZone-certified small businesses each year.
With a large portion of its contact center workforce located in HUBZones and geographically-challenged locations–and given its social mission for the preferential hiring of skilled and talented Veterans, disabled Veterans, military spouses, persons with disabilities and others experiencing barriers to employment–the HUBZone certification highlights Pearl Interactive Network’s important role in connecting underserved workforces to employment through federal contracts.
“The HUBZone certification deepens our social mission of giving hiring priority to people with barriers to employment,” says Merry Korn, CEO of Pearl Interactive Network. “It is our hope that this social mission, combined with our Woman-Owned (WOSBE) status and HUBZone certification, brings a discriminating value to both federal agencies and prime contractors.”
Pearl Interactive Network’s ability to provide high-quality contact center services from its own facilities, on client/partner sites or with virtual agents, coupled with its proven ability to scale quickly as contact center volumes demand, has resulted in recent federal contracts including:
- CMS Contact Center Operations (CCO) – for nearly 7 years, Pearl ramps-up from steady-state to over 400 agents for the Open Enrollment period on the Affordable Care Act
- Commerce 2020 Census – currently ramping-up to 760 agents to support the upcoming Census
- Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) – providing pension beneficiary services
