VA awards James A. Lovell, Federal Health Care Center (JALFHCC) IT Operations, Sustainment and Infrastructure Support task to FTC

“FTC is pleased to announce receipt of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Information Technology (OI&T), James A. Lovell, Federal Health Care Center (JALFHCC) Information Technology Operations, Sustainment and Infrastructure Support (ITOSIS) award. This four-year task order was awarded on the Transformation Twenty-One Total Technology Next Generation (T4NG) contract vehicle.”

“A consolidated healthcare facility that consists of the North Chicago VA Medical Center and the Naval Health Clinic Great Lakes, the JALFHCC serves a population of approximately 75,000 active duty, retired, and dependent personnel with over 40 different outpatient clinics, including three Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC), provides support for the medical in-processing of approximately 55,000 Navy recruits per year, and supports medical care at other tenant comments within three miles of the main clinic (ie. Student Ship Sick-Calls). With a staff of approximately 3,500 personnel at a military:civilian ratio of 4:1 and 20% annual employee turnover as a result of military commitments, the facility requires substantial technical support to keep its operations running smoothly. JALFHCC engaged FTC to provide onsite IT technical support services for JALFHCC integrated health care systems, to include onsite technical planning, coordination, implementation and operational support necessary to facilitate the implementation of Veterans Health Administration (VHA), OIT networked IT systems, applications, and associated hardware.”
