NIH NIAID to award contract for Professional and Technical Support for OWS Applications to A-Tek

Re: Solicitation Number: NIAID-NOI19-1976472

The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competition basis with A-Tek, Inc. to retain services provided by the vendor in areas of development, formulation and deployment of the Office Workplace Solutions (OWS) applications by using the OWS Archibus software.

The purpose of this acquisition is to acquire professional and technical resource support to perform tasks critical to ensuring successful implementation of the OWS initiatives. OWS requires the use of A-Tek services to complete the outstanding pending applications that the vendor has initiated, but could not complete due to time constraints. A-Tek possesses institutional knowledge of NIAID and NIH cyber pathways and databases and has maintained a solid working relationship the Office of Cyber Infrastructure and Computational Biology (OCICB) and the Office of Research Facilities. Their institutional knowledge coupled with their own expertise with Archibus systems application implementation, development and deployment, and working relationships with NIAID communities, affords A-Tek the capability to immediately continue the work and complete the requirement without any additional constraints. OWS cannot afford the time nor is it cost effective, to find another vendor to continue the work A-Tek has already initiated and have substantially performed.
