CMS to award contract for Warehouse Carousel Hardware System Software Suite Upgrade

Re: Solicitation Number: OSSO-393-2019-0055

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) intends to negotiate and award a sole source purchase order to SENCOR WHITE, INC., 400 Kidds Hill Rd, Hyannis, MA 02601. This justification for sole source contracting is to purchase for one year an expanded use of the Warehouse Librarian software suite. This acquisition will include the setting up of the inventory module, converting Warehouse Ordering and Management Business Analysis Tool (WOMBAT) system data into Warehouse Librarian data, setting up of the inventory system for the warehouse including Wireless technology, and connecting the software with the Property Ordering Website (POW) system using a flat file transfer.

CMS REQUIREMENTS: Currently the contractor Intek which is a part of SenCor White Inc. is the only company that is able to provide maintenance and support of the Warehouse Librarian program. This is the only company that creates the software to work with the Whites System Carousel that’s used in the CMS warehouse. The current vendor supports the software and hardware that allows ordering, storage and retrieval of CMS materials (publications, forms, manuals and commodity items) by CMS customers, including providers, intermediaries, advocacy groups, CMS employees and government agencies, who request or order these materials via an external website.
