Press Release: Accenture Federal Services Wins U.S. Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery Contract to Help Transform Healthcare Delivery for Sailors, Marines and their Families

“Accenture (NYSE: ACN) announces that it has been awarded a contract to provide program and project management support to the U.S. Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED) for transformational analytics- and data-driven health, and virtual healthcare initiatives to improve readiness.”

“The award is a five-year, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract valued at more than $79 million. Under the terms of the contract, which began on July 3, AFS will provide support to BUMED, also known as Navy Medicine, as it advances health informatics, virtual health and artificial intelligence initiatives that empower data-driven decisions at the intersections of health information technology, patient care, healthcare operations and readiness.”

“AFS has already received five task orders supporting BUMED with human-centered design, project management, and functional support to the Fleet, Fleet Marine Force, and Reserve Components for activities involving electronic health record modernization and virtual health.
