GSA on Track to Meet Planned October 1 Deadline to Debut New Consolidated Solicitation for Products and Services

“The U.S. General Services Administration today issued a formal 30-day advance notice of its intention to modernize federal acquisition by consolidating the agency’s current 24 Multiple Award Schedules (MAS) into one single Schedule for products and services. GSA first announced plans to consolidate the MAS program in November 2018 and is on track to meet the agency’s planned deadline of creating and releasing a new solicitation with one easy-to-understand set of terms and conditions by the end of FY 2019…”

“The single solicitation is organized by large and subcategories. It was developed iteratively and incorporates feedback from customer agencies, internal workforce, and industry, including two Requests for Information. GSA is now providing industry with the final solicitation for review prior to its planned October 1, 2019, release.”

“MAS Consolidation is one of the four cornerstone initiatives of the Federal Marketplace (FMP) Strategy, GSA’s plan to modernize and simplify the government buying and selling experience for customers, suppliers, and acquisition professionals.
