“The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Information & Technology (OI&T), Enterprise Program Management Division (EPMD) awarded FTC the Section 508 Accessibility Tools and Training Support Task Order (TO), a three-year follow-on to FTC’s current Section 508 TO, scheduled to end in July, 2019.”
“Following the Architectural and Transportation Barriers Compliance Board (Access Board)’s decision in 2000 to refresh Information and Communication Technology (ICT) standards covered by Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the VA Chief Information Officer (CIO) mandated that all Information Management/Information Technology (IM/IT) systems comply with Section 508. This TO, which was competed on the Transformation Twenty-One Total Technology-Next Generation (T4NG) vehicle, ensures that all projects and web-based ICT produced, used, maintained, or developed by VA meets those requirements. FTC will continue to provide overall project coordination, management, reporting, and Section 508 Assistive Technology (AT) tools training and script support, which includes technical assessment, scripting, and administration services to customize tools and products to meet the needs of the VA enterprise. FTC will also provide customer support and scripting support to disabled individuals to assist them in learning how to utilize their AT software with VA software applications…”
“This win is FTC’s 31st Task Order award on the T4NG vehicle, which has brought FTC more than $560M in total contract awards since 2016…” Read the full press release here.
