AWS is looking for an experienced and self-starter Business Development Manager to drive adoption for AWS services in the Federal Civilian Healthcare and Life Sciences practice supporting engagements with agencies including HHS, VA and DHA. Successful candidates will leverage the richness of the AWS cloud computing platform to drive the right technology solutions, enable the technology ecosystem supporting healthcare, and address changing industry needs.
Your responsibilities will include engaging with key industry customers and strategic industry partners, attending and speaking at industry events, leading the process to help drive industry solutions that create significant new business opportunities for AWS. You will work closely with AWS Solutions Architects, service teams and senior engineers at both top software vendors and partners to develop and promote cloud based solutions for the healthcare industry.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Serve as a key member of the Federal Civilian Business Development team to drive overall AWS market and service enablement strategy for the global healthcare industry.
- Define and execute on a strategic market development plan and ensure it’s in line with the AWS strategic direction, in partnership with key internal stakeholders (e.g. sales teams, service teams, marketing, partner team, legal, support, etc.).
- Define and size segments, identify and engage key customers, and identify and engage key partners including ISVs and system integrators.
- Support business development pipeline by engaging with key prospects and partners.

Qualifications
- 10+ years of broad healthcare domain knowledge including clinical, analytical and patient care delivery systems and applications and technology.
- Demonstrated technical skills with the ability to dive deep on relevant technologies key to the industry.
- Experience working with US Department of Health and Human Services (CMS, NIH, FDA, CDC, etc.), US Department of Veterans Affairs and Defense Health Agency.
- CxO relationships and large network in the industry.
- 15+ years of relevant work experience.
- Education: a medical degree is desired, and an advanced degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or measurement science such as statistics or epidemiology is preferred…
