“The incumbent has responsibility for the full spectrum of personnel management activities. Provides guidance through high-level civilian supervisory personnel to include professional, technical, and administrative personnel of the Compensation Service Training Staff, Business Management Staff, and Quality Assurance Staff.
- Responsible for national training for all compensation claims processors within VBA, including centralized training for all new employees and recurring training curriculum.
- Responsible for skills certification testing that all claims processing employees must pass.
- Oversee the compensation national quality assurance program, which consist of general quality reviews and specialized reviews for the organization.
- Responsible for the policy and procedures for approximately 600 Quality Review Specialists that are embedded at Regional Offices across the country.
- Conduct oversight of Regional Offices to ensure that they are performing according to current policy and procedures.
- Oversee the business management staff consisting of the maintenance of all Legacy IT systems, and the integral role in the development of the new VA claims processing systems.
