Funding Opportunity: NIH’s NIAAA to participate in Leveraging Health IT to Address Minority Health and Health Disparities for AUD

The purpose of this Notice is to inform potential applicants that the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) will participate, effective immediately, in PAR-19-093, “Leveraging Health Information Technology (Health IT) to Address Minority Health and Health Disparities (R01 Clinical Trial Optional)”

Specific Areas of Research Interest

National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA)

NIAAA encourages applications with an alcohol focus that are responsive to the general areas of research interest as described in the Funding Opportunity Announcement as originally published – that is, innovative applications that propose to leverage Health IT to address minority health and health disparities related to the prevention, detection, measurement, treatment, and/or ongoing management of risky or unhealthy drinking or alcohol use disorder (AUD), or to support recovery from AUD. Attention to the specific needs of patients in rural, remote, and under-resourced communities and safety-net settings is strongly encouraged.
