CMS and Health IT Leader, NewWave Announces Acquisition of AI Firm

NewWave Telecoms and Technologies, Inc. (“NewWave”), a full-service Information Technology (IT) and Business Services company, specializing in developing mission-critical Healthcare IT solutions using state-of-the-art technologies. NewWave introduces technical innovation and expertise in a wide variety of large-scale, data-driven, and analytic engagements across the healthcare industry. In furtherance of NewWave’s mission to solve for the greater good, NewWave today announced the completion of its acquisition of iQuartic, Inc (iQuartic) to extend their offerings providing integrated value-based care platforms with fully integrated artificial intelligence capability to the nation’s leading health systems and physician organizations.

“NewWave sees the alignment between the work we are doing for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) as the federal agency moves the healthcare system to one built on risk management and quality payments and the truly impressive natural language processing (NLP)-based solutions iQuartic is creating,” says Patrick Munis, NewWave’s CEO.

“Our products network and mine healthcare data systems,” says Ze Jiang, founder and CEO of iQuartic, “and we have a natural affinity to the work NewWave is doing using technology to improve the healthcare system. We are both fundamentally working to provide the data that is actually useful to providers and payers, information they can use to improve the lives of patients.”

Together, the organizations will be able to offer comprehensive healthcare technology solutions to providers across Medicare Advantage, Medicaid and commercial populations in support of both iQuartic and NewWave’s clients. NewWave will continue and deepen the partnership iQuartic has with BlueCross BlueShield of Massachusetts to continue building industry leading value-based care technologies. “We will provide AI-enabled, human-centered point-of-care technology solutions that focus on simplicity, accuracy and speed,” says Jiang.
