“Cognosante is searching for a Chief Contracts Officer. This individual will lead the strategy and execution of all contracting activity for the company and oversee the entire contract management lifecycle including providing sound advice on proposal preparation and contract risk mitigation. Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing oversight for the company contracts organization, focused on fostering sound business foundations while maintaining compliance and ensuring fiscal results
- Advising the senior management team of contractual rights and obligations along with recommendations to mitigate contractual risks
- Representing the company on complex, high-risk and/or large-scale contact negotiations
- Actively participating in the company Executive Leadership Team
- Fostering and maintaining a sound and reliable relationship with counterparts in internal and external customer organizations

“Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of increasing responsibility administering federal government contracts
- 10+ years of leadership roles for a government contracts organization
- Extensive knowledge of FAR, DFAR, and GSAR
