“This is the week the clock was supposed to tick in Washington as funding for seven spending bills, including one that funds the FDA, was being held hostage by a Democrats vs. White House dispute over how much money to put toward the Department of Homeland Security for President Donald Trump’s border wall with Mexico. There’s a good chance that will now stretch out a week or two as Washington (and the country) hits pause to remember former President George H.W. Bush this week.
