NIH posts Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) requirement

“To be located in Office of the Director, Center for Information Technology (CIT), the incumbent serves as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), and has responsibility for managing the Information Systems Security Program.” 

“The incumbent functions as senior SME and principal technical advisor to the CIT Director and Deputy Director, and is responsible for providing strategic leadership vision, direction, and coordination in support of IT Security activities across CIT.” 

“Responsibilities include: Managing the planning, direction, and execution of all organizational operations; and provide administrative and technical oversight to the subordinate staff; leading and managing the planning, direction, and execution of all aspects of the CIT Information Systems Security Program that ensures the safety and security of CIT’s IT infrastructure, operations, and services; assessing and identifying major CIT and agency-wide cross-cutting security initiatives, and provide leadership and direction of these activities; overseeing the cybersecurity and privacy program for CIT’s information systems and networks, including managing information security implications within the organization, specific programs, or other areas of responsibility…” Read the full job description here.
