CMS has released a special notice that it intends to extend the period of performance to the existing contract (HHSM-500-2013-00097C) to Provider Resources, Inc for Recovery Auditor Validation Contractor (RVC) services, through January 31, 2019, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This will allow CMS to continue reviewing and validating Recovery Audit Contractors’ (RACs) claim determinations on Medicare claims that were paid under part A or B of title XVIII of the Social Security Act, until the procurement for a new RVC is awarded.
Responses are due by July 25, 2018.
