Leidos seeks DHMSM Chief Medical Information Officer

Leidos is seeking a “licensed Physician with medical practice experience and outstanding professional reputation to serve as CMIO for the DHMSM Program. This senior physician IT leader will work collaboratively with DHA clinicians and Leidos staff to optimize the MHS GENESIS electronic medical record that will promote safe, efficient and effective practices and decision making among physician and hospital providers-of-care, with the end goal of a comprehensive community based patient centric system. The CMIO will also lead the areas of quality, clinical analytics, and clinical informatics, as well as leading efforts to utilize information technology to support clinical quality programs; promote a positive IT organizational culture, and represent the organization in appropriate forums. Our ideal candidate remains current with new technologies, national and local issues effecting healthcare information technology and their potential influence on the organization.
