Spring is well in hand and talk of summer and summer plans has begun. Here are 5 upcoming events you may want to squeeze in between now and Memorial Day and a few more to look at before the heavy proposal season really kicks into gear.

National Veteran Small Business Coalition Dinner and Networking Event
When: May 9, 2018
Where: Arlington, VA

This NVSBC dinner and networking event includes a Boot Camp Program with a detailed review of upcoming opportunities for Veteran owned business, followed by a dinner meeting highlighting Veteran-focused contract vehicles, emerging opportunities and trends.

VA Healthcare 2018
When: May 14
Where: Washington, DC

VA Healthcare 2018 will bring together 300+ individuals ranging from VA officials, industry executives, elected officials, and academia from across the U.S. and global stakeholders to discuss the challenges at the forefront of Veteran Healthcare operations, policy and procurements. Key themes running throughout the summit will be the VA’s 5 key priorities: greater choices for Veterans, modernizing the VA’s systems, resource management and efficiency, improving timeliness of service and wait times and suicide prevention and getting to zero.

CXO Tech Forum: Health IT
When: May 15, 2018
Where: Washington, DC

The CXO Tech Forum: Health IT promises federal technology executives from civilian and defense healthcare agencies who will explore the AI, data, cyber and security technologies transforming healthcare. Participating agencies include VA, DHA, HHS, National Cancer Institute, CMS/CCIIO, U.S. Digital Services, among others.

Finding the Human in Health and IT
When: May 17, 2018
Where: Arlington, VA

This HIMSS NCA May Educational Event will focus on the patient experience and consider how the prognosis can change our perspective on treatment and care and the role of IT. It will also explore the importance of IT and health analytics in current research and future improvements of patient care and diagnosis and treatment, as well as how best to keep the humanistic side alive moving from diagnosis to treatment with a focus on health IT.

CMS Industry Happy Hour
When: May 22, 2018
Where: Columbia, MD

This NCMA Happy Hour event is a great chance to network with colleagues.

FedHealthIT Innovation Awards & Networking Event
When: June 12, 2018
Where: Washington, DC

This event recognizes and honors leaders from across the Federal Health innovation, technology and consulting sector to celebrate programs nominated and selected by their peers for DRIVING INNOVATION and RESULTS across the Department of Veterans Affairs, Military Health, Health and Human Services and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

CMS SPARC Networking Event
When: June 26, 2018

This informal networking and a casual event is an opportunity to meet and greet those who are Large and Small holders of the SPARC IDIQ.

2018 OSEHRA Open Source Summit
When: July 18-20, 2018
Where: Bethesda, MD

This year’s OSEHRA three-day Health IT Summit will highlight a growing number of open source initiatives and the increasing level of public-private partnership in major programs and agencies. It will also explore participation in emerging hybrid proprietary and open source efforts such as VA’s Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) and how to optimize open source utilization and community involvement.

4th Annual Happy Hour for a Cause
When: July 23, 2018
Where: Orlando, FL

Kick off your week at DHITS and support a charity near and dear to many of us! Come together with over 250 attendees to support Fisher House and beat the $13K raised last year. All proceeds will go to serve Fisher House Foundation, which provides free or low-cost lodging to Veterans and military families receiving treatment at military medical centers.

When: July 24-26
Where: Orlando
