HHS has issued an RFI to “obtain subject matter expertise, who can rapidly and accurately analyze emerging scientific, technological, and economic trends affecting FDA’s regulatory mission, develop new solutions leveraging emerging trends and methodologies and then deploy the solution through an iterative and agile approach within FDA IT infrastructure and to ensure that the organization is current with best in class IT services. Because of the scope and breadth of this IT work, the CTO, Innovation, and Enterprise Architecture programs in conjunction with external OIMT offices have a need for skills, knowledge and experience in a diverse array of technology and concepts to include: provide subject matter expertise for solution architecting, prototyping, deploying, and delivering new technical solutions. Additionally, this acquisition is intended to convert architecture-level designs to tactical level solutions, implement and evaluate prototypes and other minimal viable products, pilot systems and solutions. It is envisioned that this acquisition will facilitate a contractor staffed team of key personnel, with subject matter experts being added and removed from the staffing as needed to support the projects and dynamic IT priorities.”
