The groundhog predicted six more weeks of winter so to help keep you occupied until spring arrives, here is a list of some upcoming events you may want to check out. Some of these are coming up in the next week so it’s worth taking a look to see if they should make your calendar.

HIMSS NCA presents an In-Depth look at Health Data Migration and Transformation with VA, DHA and NIH
WHEN: Thursday, February 15, 2018
WHERE: Arlington, VA
This event will explore what has been gained or lost over the years through technical advancements and will take a look at emerging technical strategies, methods, and tools that might allow us to see all data, for all time, as it was originally captured, without compromising the knowledge and power of Big Data.


FDA Vendor Outreach Event
WHEN: Tuesday, February 20, 2018
WHERE: Silver Spring, MD
This outreach event may be focused on small business but is also looking for “large businesses with subcontracting opportunities” to participate.

WHEN: March 5 – March 9, 2018
WHERE: Las Vegas, NV

National Quality Forum with VA and CMS
WHEN: March 12 – 13, 2018
WHERE: Washington, DC
Sessions during this two-day event will focus on topics such as delivery reform and the drive toward value, challenges and opportunities related to telehealth and other technologies.


Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and Beyond with FDA and MHS
WHEN: March 21, 2018
WHERE: Arlington, VA
The FedHealthIT Executive Breakfast Series Event Driving operational efficiencies through automation: Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and beyond will bring together the Federal Health IT community from Government and industry to provide awareness and gain perspective about how Robotic Automation and Artificial Intelligence will play a role in the Federal Health IT modernization journey.

DSI DoD/VA & Government HIT Event Series
WHEN: May 2 – 3
WHERE: Alexandria
This Defense Strategies Institute (DSI) event will provide a full view of DoD, VA and the Federal Government’s work to improve a more connected Health IT ecosystem and features speakers who will share insights on their organization’s ongoing and future efforts.


OSEHRA Health IT Summit
WHEN: July 18 – 20
WHERE: Bethesda, MD
Featuring more than 75 speakers, the summit will highlight open source initiatives in major programs and agencies, how to participate in emerging proprietary and open source efforts such as VA’s EHRM and optimizing community involvement.


Defense Health Information Technology Symposium
WHEN: July 24 – 26
WHERE: Orlando
