8 Federal Health IT Events to help close out FY17 and kick FY18 off right

You’ve had your turkey, but remember there are still a few weeks of business and social opportunities before 2017 comes to an end. You’ll have to move quickly if you want to get in these first three and the others are events you don’t want to miss!

Driving Operational Success and Improving Veteran Satisfaction

When: Wednesday, November 29, 2017 to Friday, December 1, 2017
Where: Washington, DC

With more than a dozen top execs from VA on the agenda, this PEX VA conference will focus on interoperability through standardization, improved process excellence and mobile technology as an opportunity to improve veteran care.


Tackling Barriers to Interoperability and Usability

When: Thursday, November 30, 2017 to Friday, December 1, 2017
Where: Washington, DC

National Veterans Small Business Conference

When: Tuesday, December 5, 2017 through Thursday, December 7, 2017
Where: St. Louis, MO

It’s not too late to get to this three-day event that brings together PDMs from Veterans Affairs and other Federal agencies, state government and commercial firms for learning sessions aimed at improving the capabilities of small businesses to successfully compete for procurement opportunities.


HHS Coding Competition

When: Wednesday, December 6, 2017 and Thursday, December 7, 2017
Where: Washington, DC

Using criteria including design, potential for impact, technical achievement and innovation, this HHS coding competition is focused on creating innovative solutions related to opioid use and treatment, usage and prevention challenges.


Annual Health IT Holiday Bash!

When: Thursday, December 7, 2017
Where: Arlington, VA

This annual event hosted by MicroHealth & TechWerks has become one of more heavily attended events as it draws in a who’s who of Health IT leaders for open bar, food, DJ, dancing, and fun times.


FedHealthIT100 Awards Event

When: Monday, December 11, 2017
Where: North Bethesda, MD

With less than two weeks to go, there are still some seats left for this event, but with dozens of top executives from across Veterans Affairs, MHS, and HHS (CMS, NIH, FDA, etc) registered already, this event is expected to sell out early. Book now if you know you are attending.
