The Capture Proposal Manager supports the dynamic business development process and business development associates by providing written proposals for RFP/RFI/RFQ’s in response to client needs. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing capture efforts for strategic opportunities; developing and maintaining capture plans; managing multiple proposals through multiple stages to successful completion; meeting all deadlines; ensuring full compliance of proposal submissions; providing writing support where needed (i.e., executive summaries, cover letters, capability statements); supporting marketing research efforts relevant to capture and proposal opportunities; executing project-related tasks and deliverables; communicating with internal clients to represent Cerner and/or work group; resolving problems efficiently, while considering multiple perspectives, groups, inputs, and understanding cross-functions; managing and coordinating resources; incorporating knowledge of federal government proposal processes, price-to-win analyses, business development strategies and developing an expertise of Cerner sales business development tools; participating in business development, capture, and proposal communities to coordinate workload, balance resources, and share knowledge; capturing and maintaining proposal data and generating supporting material; building, maintaining and contributing to a network of internal relationships and standard content repository; demonstrating knowledge of the team’s core processes and functions; directing the work efforts and results of the team; developing team goals and managing them for results; executing business plan to produce the plan’s results; and identifying variances, explaining them and making corrective action against business plan… Read More.
