Industry Move: New HHS Assistant Secretary of Planning and Evaluation appointed

“TOP HHS JOB FILLED: President Trump has tapped Stephen Parente, a University of Minnesota economist, to be assistant secretary of planning and evaluation at HHS. He succeeds Harvard economist Richard Frank, who stepped down last June. Parente has been pessimistic about Obamacare’s future. Three years ago, he predicted that the total number of uninsured Americans would rise to 40 million under the Affordable Care Act, partly because exchange coverage would become too expensive…”
