ERPi seeks Strategic Portfolio Program Manager to support VBA growth

The Portfolio Program Manager is responsible for “planning, initiating, managing, executing, and closing out small and large scale programs in support of an agency’s mission”.

Along with expanding the firm’s internal capability and leading client delivery, primary tasks include:

  • Managing the total effort associated with the contract (program), including: technical thought leadership, delivery management/oversight (including sub-teaming partner firms), client relationship management, financial management, quality control, contractual management (including the modification process), and risk management.
  • Proactively engage and manage client relations in a manner that establishes ERPi as a strategic partner to VBA
  • Create and maintain all necessary project management (control) artifacts (related to delivery, risk quality, communications, finance, et al)

G2X TAKE: Whether you are interested in this role or not, this job description highlights key changes happening with the VBA, to include a recent, internal organizational merger with OBPI now owning the PMO supporting the Veterans Benefit Management System (VBMS).

As one the prime contractors on VA’s Delivery of VA Imminent Strategic and Operational Requirements (ADVISOR) contract, ERPi appears to be headed in the right direction and this strategic hire says a lot about their ambition.
