Highlighting top innovators in the Federal Health Sector and Giving Away a Car
Washington, D.C. (May 2, 2016) – FedHealthIT, a print and digital magazine dedicated to providing news and insights regarding the federal health technology industry, is honoring the companies, agencies, and programs providing innovations in the healthcare technology industry; challenging the misconception that government agencies are “out dated”.

During the event additional awards will be handed out for the G2Xchange Federal Health IT Challenge, including a new Chevy Volt. The Challenge was created by G2Xchange Health and Visual Connections, LLC to encourage small companies, start-ups, and university participants to develop new technologies and approaches that support improved healthcare. More than 20 of the finalists will be in attendance with their prototypes on display.

The FedHealthIT Innovation & Challenge Awards highlights innovative programs and brings together leaders from both industry and government. Key government speakers and panelists include Brad Wintermute, Deputy CIO, FDA; Greg Downing, Exec Director for Innovation, HHS; Dan Kral, Director, DoD TATRC; Dr. Deyne Bentt, VHA Clinical Director of Mobile Health Deployment; and William Cerniuk, VA Mobile Technical Director. John Gilroy, of Federal TechTalk will host and emcee the panel discussion and awards ceremony.
